Airline company lie results in 150 passengers waiting at the airport. 

On 22 February, a crowd of people gathered at Karshi Airport (the region of Kashkadarya-southern province) as a result of confusing information concerning the departure airport of the Uzbekistan Airways flight.   This was reported by JSC.

The company report stated that passengers of the flight to Moscow began gathering at Karshi airport this morning. As of 8:00am local time, the airport had about 150 people waiting for their flight.

However, there was no such flight on this airport's schedule. Flight VZ-4492 of the Russian “Red Wings” company was to be operated from Navoi Airport at 15:00 not Karshi.

Yet, tickets purchased through the Easy Booking and Atlas Avia Tour online services indicate that the departure city was shown as Karshi at the time of 08:00am.
As explained by Karshi airport, some air ticket offices cover a passenger shortage by selling tickets through another city. For this reason, passengers were deliberately misinformed about the city of departure when tickets were sold.

Usually in this case, they have to arrange a free shuttle for passengers, but there was no shuttle vehicle provided by the airport from Karshi to Navoi. Passengers had to take a taxi to a nearby town at their own expense.

As reported by Navoiy airport, passengers of Flight VZ-4492 began arriving at the terminal of Navoi Airport. Check-in began at 12:00 local time.
