4,000 cubic metres of snow avalanche reported at Kamchik Pass

A snow avalanche has occurred at Kamchik Pass in Pop district of Namangan Region, according to Uzhydromet.

The report states that on 16 February, between approximately 17:00 and 21:00, heavy precipitation triggered an avalanche measuring about 4,000 cubic metres at Kamchik Pass.

“No casualties or injuries have been reported,” the statement said.

Earlier, it was reported that 12 avalanches totalling 12,000 cubic metres had been recorded at Kamchik Pass following heavy precipitation.
