Truck completely burned down at Kamchik pass (video)

A DAF truck was completely destroyed by fire at the Kamchik pass, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the report, on April 15 at 22:41, the Kamchik special search, fire and rescue department received a call about a fire in a DAF truck traveling along the A-373 Tashkent–Osh highway in the Vodiy–Tashkent direction.

Two firefighting crews arrived at the scene at 22:50. The fire was localized by 22:53 and fully extinguished at 23:13.

Authorities stated that the cause of the fire and the total material damage are currently under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Two-way traffic on the Kamchik pass continues without interruption.

It is worth recalling that earlier, a Changan vehicle caught fire while traveling on the Kamchik pass section of the A-373 highway in the Tashkent–Vodiy direction. The blaze damaged the vehicle’s interior and cargo area. Thanks to prompt action, 9 out of 18 bicycles and 1 out of 4 electric scooters stored in the cargo compartment were saved. No casualties were reported in that incident either.
