On December 12, reports surfaced on social media about a 50% reduction in the natural gas supply to a greenhouse in the Samarkand region. In response, "Hududgaztaminot" clarified that the reduction was caused by a sharp drop in air temperature, leading to decreased gas pressure in pipelines in certain regions.

The company emphasized that the primary focus is on ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to households and social sector facilities. As a result, restrictions have been introduced for some wholesale consumers, including greenhouse farms.

According to Presidential Resolution No. PP-339 dated September 26, 2024, "Hududgaztaminot" is required to notify greenhouse farms of potential pressure drops or supply interruptions at least 24 hours in advance. The company stated that it follows this practice, ensuring that warning letters are sent to greenhouse farms before implementing any restrictions.

Additionally, in line with Resolution No. 567 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 27, 2023, greenhouse farms are required to maintain a reserve of alternative fuel. The tripartite agreement between "Hududgaztaminot," the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional governments, and greenhouse farms obliges farms to switch to reserve fuels during periods of gas supply restrictions caused by emergencies or sharp weather changes.

"These restrictions are temporary and will be lifted once gas pressure stabilizes in the pipelines," the company assured.

It should be noted that earlier, the Ministry of Energy announced a short-term restriction on the operation of gas filling stations (gas "zapravkas") due to similar issues in gas pressure.
