Israil Madrimov’s earnings from the fight against Ortiz revealed

Uzbek boxer Israil Madrimov, who faced Virgil Ortiz in Saudi Arabia, earned $800,000 for the fight, according to media reports citing insiders from the “Riyadh Season” organization.  

According to the information, Madrimov received a purse of $800,000, while Virgil Ortiz, who defeated him, earned $2 million. The highest payouts of the event went to Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, who each received $10 million for their bout.

For reference, on February 22, another major boxing event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season.” The main event featured Russian boxers Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, who competed for the first-ever undisputed light heavyweight championship. Bivol won by decision, becoming the undisputed world champion.  

Additionally, Uzbek boxer Israil Madrimov fought for the WBC Interim Super Middleweight title but lost on points to American Virgil Ortiz.
