Three Uzbek nationals who were on an international wanted list have been detained in the United Arab Emirates, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is reported that, as a result of coordinated efforts by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan, three individuals wanted internationally were returned at the initiative of national law enforcement agencies. Two of them are accused of fraud, while the third is charged with human trafficking.

After committing the crimes, they fled to the territory of the United Arab Emirates. Thanks to the targeted work of Interpol’s National Central Bureau, ongoing cooperation with foreign partners, and the use of international search mechanisms, their whereabouts were identified. With the assistance of Interpol’s National Central Bureau in Abu Dhabi, all three were detained.

Their extradition was carried out through various legal mechanisms, including special agreements reached between the Interpol National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi. The individuals were brought to Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov, accompanied by officers of the Interpol National Central Bureau of Uzbekistan, to face legal proceedings in accordance with the law.

It is worth noting that previously, a citizen wanted for fraud committed in Uzbekistan was detained in Georgia.
