President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tashkent on 21 June at the invitation of president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This is reported by the press service under the President’s Office of Uzbekistan.
It was noted that the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials welcomed Aliyev at Tashkent International Airport.
The main events of the visit will take place today. The high-level talks will be devoted to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan and expanding multifaceted cooperation. Bilateral documents on the industry, transport, agriculture, energy, science and innovation, tourism, and other areas are expected to be signed according to the outcomes of the negotiations.
Tomorrow it is planned to visit the historical monuments of Khiva.
