Each participant in the Second World War and disabled individuals in Uzbekistan will receive a one-time monetary award of 20 million soums, as outlined in a decree signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“The significance of May 9th as Remembrance and Appreciation Day, a national holiday in Uzbekistan. It honors the memory of ancestors who perished in the Second World War, acknowledges present-day veterans, and aims to elevate the nation's stature while instilling moral values in the youth and combating fascism. As part of the commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the victory, a one-time financial incentive of 20 million soums will be granted to each veteran and disabled person of the Second World War,” the document emphasized.

It has been determined that the expenses associated with implementing this Decree will be covered by the funds allocated in the republican budget of Uzbekistan.

As per the document, various governmental bodies including the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional governorates, the city of Tashkent, and ministries such as Defense, National Guard, State Security Service, Internal Affairs, Economy and Finance, and Culture, alongside organizations like the Association of Neighborhoods of Uzbekistan and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, are tasked with supporting social initiatives for Uzbekistan's veterans. Notably, it was emphasized that this support, in collaboration with the "Nuroniy" fund, will ensure the dignified presentation of awards to World War II participants and disabled individuals in a ceremonious manner.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov of Uzbekistan takes the responsibility for overseeing the execution of this Decree.
