Land Fraudsters Apprehended in Two Regions

In the Samarkand and Andijan regions, several individuals who promised to transfer land areas have been arrested, according to a report from the Press Service of the Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office.

It has been noted that G.M, the supervisor of the shopping complex "U.S" Limited Liability Company located in the Samarkand region, gained the trust of businessman A.E and fraudulently sold 60 square meters of vacant land within the premises of this shopping complex for $40,000.  The transaction was agreed upon, but $30,000 in cash was seized by the Department and officers from the State Security Service as physical evidence.

Similarly, in the Andijan region, citizens M.A and S.X placed their trust in citizen I.D and received $14,000 and 91.6 million soms in return for the formalization of 1 hectare of land in the Khojaabad district through acquaintances holding high positions.  They were apprehended with physical evidence.

In light of these cases, criminal investigations have been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are currently underway.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, the head of a farm in the Fergana region was arrested for illegally selling land for $80,000.  Additionally, in the Tashkent region, an individual attempting to sell 1 hectare of land to the head of a farm for $33,000 was apprehended, and in the Kashkadarya region, an individual accepting a bribe of $2,000 while arranging the payment for 1.5 hectares of land was also reported and subsequently caught.
