Officials Arrested for Embezzling Credit Funds Allocated for Local Enterprises

In a recent development, the individuals behind the misappropriation of credit funds in two regions, Surkhandarya and Fergana, have been identified.  The Press Service of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office has released a statement regarding this matter. 

According to the report, the preliminary investigation has implicated H.B., the head of the family enterprise "L.T.," and several others who exploited a preferential loan amounting to 622.9 million soms.  This loan was initially intended for the development of tailoring businesses.  Shockingly, it has been uncovered that A.U., a former official from the bank's front office department, established a new economic entity solely to repay the loans acquired for this purpose.  Kh.B, the head of the family business, was deceived into providing 30 million soms in cash as collateral for the loan from the bank.

Furthermore, Y.Q., the head of the family business "J.S.," along with accomplices, has been found guilty of embezzling 620 million soms from the preferential loan funds allocated to 23 citizens.  These funds were meant for the construction of greenhouses and the procurement of livestock.  The accused individuals managed to penetrate this fraudulent act by forging documents at the branch of the regional commercial bank.

As a consequence of these distressing incidents, criminal investigations have been initiated, encompassing several charges, such as embezzlement (Article 167), fraud (Article 168), falsification of employment (Article 209), and document forgery, sale, or use (Article 288).  Authorities are presently conducting thorough investigations into the matter.
