Doniyor Tashxodjayev was dismissed

Colonel Doniyor Bakhtiyorovich Tashxodjayev, the First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, has been dismissed from his position, along with Colonel Ahrorjon Halimjonovich Atkhamov, Head of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This decision was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Temur Akramovich Sobirov, Head of the Organized Crime Department of the Rapid Investigation Service within the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, has also been dismissed by the relevant order of the department head.

Tashxodjayev has been serving as the First Deputy Head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department since August 2023.

Before this, in February 2022, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Investigation Department of the Tashkent Regional Internal Affairs Department.

From January 2020, he led the Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

From 2019 to 2020, Tashxodjayev served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Prior to that, he held several senior roles within the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, including Deputy Head and Head of the Personnel Department, as well as Deputy Head and Head of the Investigation Department.

This news follows recent changes in Uzbekistan's security and defense leadership, including the dismissal of Abdusalom Abdumavlonovich Azizov as Chairman of the State Security Service, his replacement by Bakhodir Nizomovich Kurbanov, and the appointment of Shuhrat Gayratjonovich Kholmukhammedov as Minister of Defense.
