It is said that the management of the Human.uz website was taken away by unknown “Internal Affairs officers”.

Today, 27 January around 10:00 a.m., Khurshid Daliyev, the director of the Human.uz mass media officially registered in Uzbekistan, Muslim Mirzajonov, the editor-in-chief of the site, and other employees of this site introduced themselves as “organ employees.”  They were taken from the office of the Human.uz site located on the territory of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.  This was reported on the site’s Telegram channel.

“Officers of the agency broke down the doors of the office, and at the moment all information and devices are being searched,” the report said.

The editors of the Human.uz site said that they are deeply saddened by the health and condition of all the people who were taken away suddenly and without warning, and informed that it was not possible to contact any of them.

“The editors consider this situation completely contrary to the policy of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a threat to freedom of speech,” added the message.

The law enforcement authorities were asked to clarify the situation and give an official response.

At the moment, the Human.uz website is not working.  There has been no official comment from the law enforcement agencies.
