Meat becomes more expensive, while watermelon becomes cheaper. The consumer price index was announced

In July, the average level of prices for goods and services in the consumer sector decreased by 0.3 percent. The prices of some types of products have increased. This was reported by the Statistics Agency.

According to the agency's calculations, in July 2024, compared to the same period last year, transport prices increased by 8.5%, educational services by 3.8%, and healthcare by 3.7%.

The annual growth rate of prices in the consumer sector was 10.5 percent. In particular, the price of meat products increased by 1.5% in July, and the price of medicines by 2.2%.

In terms of fruit and vegetable prices, the cheapest product in a month was watermelon (-43.5 percent). Additionally, the prices of tomatoes (-40.7 percent), eggplant (-35.8 percent), melons (-31.3 percent), and cucumbers (-11.9 percent) decreased.

A significant increase in the price index was mainly observed in the fuel energy sector. Compared to the same period last year, gasoline prices increased by 20%, propane by 16.8%, and methane by 36.9%.
