Global passport ranking announced: Where does Uzbekistan stand?

The Uzbek passport ranked 123rd in an international ranking. This was stated in the ranking published by the Global Passport Index.
“Uzbek passport holders can enjoy the opportunity to travel around the world by entering countries such as China, Andorra, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Barbados without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival at the airport. However, Uzbek citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter around 93 destinations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Afghanistan and Angola,” the description about Uzbekistan states.
European countries retained their leading positions in the ranking, while Singapore was the only country from another region to enter the top 10, taking tenth place.
The Global Passport Index covers not only visa-free mobility opportunities, but also criteria such as investment attractiveness and quality of life.
Uzbekistan ranked 123rd in the index. Among Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan led the region in 107th place, followed by Kyrgyzstan in 127th, Tajikistan in 140th and Turkmenistan in 144th. Afghanistan ranked last among the countries of the region, placing 197th.
Within the index, Uzbekistan ranked 129th for mobility, 89th for investment and 119th for quality of life.
Globally, Sweden took first place in the ranking. Switzerland and Finland followed, while Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark completed the top five.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan had risen to 74th place in the updated 2026 Henley Passport Index.
