Patients with hepatitis "C" are treated entirely at the expense of the state in Uzbekistan. According to the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy approved by Presidential Decree, the following measures will be implemented starting January 1, 2024:

•    Hematopoietic bone marrow stem cell transplantation will be introduced for children with oncohematological diseases.

•    Treatment for patients with type "C" viral hepatitis and children with oncological diseases requiring hematopoietic bone marrow stem cell transplantation will be funded by the state budget.

Additionally, starting from October 1, 2023, a separate "social service case" procedure will be established for families facing difficult life situations or at high risk of doing so.

Beginning January 1, 2024, the following changes will take effect:

•    State medical insurance mechanisms, which include the provision of a list of drugs and the extent of free medical services guaranteed by the state, will be gradually implemented in medical institutions in Tashkent city.

•    Disabled individuals will receive prosthetic-orthopedic goods, rehabilitation, and medications through a voucher system.

•    The state will cover the costs of retraining women facing serious social challenges.
