Fire breaks out at hardware store in Gazalkent (video)

On August 19, a fire broke out at a hardware store in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, the regional Emergency Situations Department reported.

According to the information, at 16:40 the Fire Department received a report about a fire on the second floor of a two-story hardware store located in the Navruz neighborhood of Gazalkent city. Four fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene within five minutes, containing the fire by 16:55 and fully extinguishing it at 17:33.

As a result of the incident, about 70 square meters of the roof and interior of the store were damaged. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are currently being investigated.

It is worth noting that earlier a fire occurred at the under-construction Center for Islamic Civilization in the Almazar district of Tashkent. That incident was caused by a technological process violation during roof insulation work, which resulted in insulation materials burning and damaging 19 square meters of the building’s roof.
