Gayane Umerova appointed head of Creative Economy and Tourism Department

Gayane Olegovna Umerova has been appointed Head of the Department of Creative Economy and Tourism of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The news was announced by Presidential Spokesperson Sherzod Asadov.

In connection with this appointment, Umerova was relieved of her previous post as Deputy Head of the Department of Social Development of the Presidential Administration.

About Gayane Umerova

Gayane Umerova was born on April 22, 1985, in Tashkent. She is an art critic by profession.

From 2020 to 2023, she served as Executive Director of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan under the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as Secretary General of the National Commission of Uzbekistan for UNESCO Affairs.

In July 2023, she was appointed Chairperson of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts. In October 2023, she assumed the role of Deputy Head of the Department of Social Development within the Presidential Administration.
