On September 17, Uzbekistan faced Paraguay in the second round of the World Futsal Championship. The match, held at "Humo Arena" in Tashkent, ended in a significant loss for the Uzbekistan team.

Paraguay's Espinoza opened the scoring in the 16th minute, netting the first goal. Just a minute later, Paraguay's Baez extended the lead to 2-0, concluding the first half with the visitors in control.

In the 24th minute of the second half, Martinez scored Paraguay's third goal, further widening the gap. Two minutes later, Salas added another for the visitors, making it 4-0. In the 35th minute, Uzbekistan’s Husniddin Nishanov scored the team's only goal, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide, and the match ended in a heavy defeat for Uzbekistan.

It is noteworthy that Uzbekistan is hosting a FIFA-classified tournament for the first time in history. This marks the third time the Uzbekistan national futsal team has participated in the World Championship.

For reference, the World Cup will continue until October 6, with matches taking place not only in Tashkent but also in Bukhara and Andijan.
