New mayor was appointed to Furkat district

Elyorbek Asronkulov was appointed as the mayor of the Furqat district in the Fergana region. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

Today, on August 7, an extraordinary session of the Furkat District Council of People's Deputies was held. The governor of the region, Khayrullo Bozorov, participated in the session. The organizational issue related to the appointment of a new district mayor, replacing Jahongir Jumanov who was dismissed, was discussed during the session.

"The candidacy of Elyorbek Madaminovich Asronkulov, presented by regional governor Khairullo Bozorov, was unanimously supported by Furqat district deputies. Elyorbek Asronkulov, who has been serving as the head of the Fergana region department of the National Agency for Social Protection, was confirmed as the governor of Furqat district," the report stated.

For your information, Elyorbek Asronkulov was born in 1985 in the Baghdad district. He graduated from Fergana Polytechnic Institute with a degree in economics. He began his career in 2011 as an inspector of the Baghdad District Department of the Pension Fund. He has worked as a department head and deputy head of the non-budget pension fund department in the Fergana region. From 2019 to 2020, he worked in the Executive Office of the Off-Budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance. From 2020 to 2023, he was the head of the Non-Budget Pension Fund of the Fergana Region.

Since August 20, 2023, he has been serving as the head of the Fergana Region Department of the National Agency for Social Protection.

It is worth noting that on July 17, during a meeting of video selectors dedicated to the work done in the first half of the year and future tasks, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov's proposal to dismiss Jahongir Jumanov, the former governor of Furqat district, was supported.
