A mother in the Andijan region was fined for making her child perform housework instead of sending her to school. This information was reported by the Andijan Regional Department of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau.

It was revealed that in the Balikchi district of the Andijan region, the mother had been making her child carry out household chores, neglecting her educational responsibilities. As a result, the mother was issued a fine by the regional prevention inspector. However, she failed to pay the fine on time. After receiving a warning from the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau, she eventually paid the 375,000 sums fine for failing to send her child to school.

According to Uzbek legislation, parents or guardians who fail to meet their obligations in raising and educating minor children can face fines ranging from 375,000 sums to 1.875 million sums. Additionally, preventing children from receiving compulsory education can lead to a fine ranging from 10 to 15 times the minimum wage, which amounts to between 3.375 million sums and 5.625 million sums.

It’s worth noting that a previous incident in Denov involved schoolchildren being exposed to the cold without proper clothing, which led to disciplinary measures against regional officials for putting the children’s health at risk.
