125 million dollars will be allocated for pharmaceutics in Uzbekistan

A center for the development of clinical drug research will be established in Uzbekistan, for which $125 million will be allocated.  This was announced today 7 July, by the head of the information service under the agency for the development of the pharmaceutics network Kizlarkhan Begmatova.

According to the information received, the funds will be allocated at the expense of loans from the Korean Eximbank Foundation to provide the center with medical, clinical, and laboratory equipment.  As a result, 250 new jobs will be created.

In addition, clinical experiments on newly developed drugs on volunteer patients will be conducted at the Centre for Clinical Drug Research.

For reference, there are currently 89 clinical research bases in Uzbekistan.  These clinical research facilities will undergo international accreditation step by step until 2026.
