Alisher Ismatillayevich Temirov has been appointed as the interim director of the center, as announced by the Ministry of Health's press service.

At the start of 2023, Azam Nortoyev faced bribery allegations from former Health Minister Amrillo Inoyatov during his tenure as a department head at the center. However, seven months later, in September 2023, Nortoyev was reinstated as the director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety.
It's worth noting that a new leader was recently appointed to the Pharmaceutical Agency as well.
