Individual arrested in Fergana for selling psychotropic coffee

4099In Margilan city, Fergana region, an individual was arrested for selling coffee products with strong psychotropic effects. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the report, during a joint operation conducted by the Margilan city branch of the department and other law enforcement agencies, citizen M.I. was caught red-handed selling 1,800 boxes of “Keta Collagen Coffee Mix,” containing psychotropic substances, to citizen M.Kh. for 21 million UZS.
It was noted that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 2511 of the Criminal Code (preparation, distribution, advertisement, display, or illegal circulation of products containing strong psychotropic substances that are not classified as narcotics, their analogs, or psychotropic substances). Investigative actions are currently underway.
As a reminder, earlier, a narcotics laboratory for producing synthetic drugs was discovered in the “Mindonobod” neighborhood of Fergana region. According to expert analysis, the confiscated drugs from the house had a black-market value of 9.185 billion UZS.
