In Fergana, drunken men started a fight in a grocery store

A criminal case has been initiated against two individuals in connection with a disturbance at a grocery store in the Fergana region. This was reported by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

On August 18, 2024, citizens Sh.R. and M.P., who were intoxicated, entered a grocery store on S. Temur Street. They used offensive language towards the seller due to a disagreement.

Customers X.I. and S.I., who were in the store at the time, asked Sh.R. and M.P. to stop making noise. In response, Sh.R. and M.P. physically assaulted X.I. and S.I., causing them injuries.

Additionally, Sh.R. and M.P. continued their disruptive behavior, damaging food products in the store.

As a result, a criminal case was initiated by the Fergana City Internal Affairs Department under Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code, Part 2, Clause "B," and the suspects have been arrested.

"Preliminary investigation efforts are currently underway," the report stated.

It should be noted that on August 11, individuals involved in a dispute in the center of Fergana city were placed into administrative custody.
