Another child hit by a car: Incident reported in Fergana region (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a car running over a young child in the city of Margilan, located in the Fergana region. The Regional Department of Internal Affairs has provided official information about the incident.

According to the department, the accident occurred on May 10 of this year on Zukhro Street in Margilan. A 55-year-old driver, identified as D.A., was operating a Lacetti vehicle when he struck A.A., a child born in 2022. As a result of the incident, the 3-year-old boy sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Officials report that A.A. is currently in stable condition.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 266 (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation) and Article 117 (Endangerment) of the Criminal Code. The case has been referred to the appropriate court for legal proceedings.

It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent, where a Tico vehicle struck a 3-year-old child.
