A pottery workshop in Fergana has been found illegally consuming natural gas valued at more than 7.6 billion soums, according to "Hududgaztaminot" JSC.

The violation was discovered during an inspection of natural gas usage at a workshop owned by a citizen identified as S. Sh., located in the “Joydam” mahalla of the city. Inspectors found that the consumer had bypassed the gas meter by directly connecting to the natural gas pipeline, thereby using the “blue fuel” unlawfully. As a result, an official report was filed. The volume of gas consumed was recalculated, and the total financial damage was determined to be 7 billion 655 million 718 thousand soums.

All relevant documentation regarding the illegal activity has been submitted to law enforcement authorities for further action.

It is worth noting that a similar case was previously uncovered in Samarkand, where an enterprise had illegally used more than 3 billion soums worth of natural gas.
