A wanted person was arrested in Ferghana

A wanted individual was apprehended in Fergana on charges of evading financial support for minors or disabled persons, as reported by the regional DIA.

The accused had been sought by the Fergana City Court for offenses specified in Article 122, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The individual's whereabouts were pinpointed by the PPS officers from the first regional area of the DIA in the Fergana region, leading to the apprehension of the fleeing suspect.

Regarding the offense of evading financial support for a minor or disabled person, it involves failure to pay the court-ordered amount for their support for a period exceeding two months. According to the law, this constitutes an administrative penalty. Upon subsequent violation, it can result in correctional labor for up to two years or imprisonment for up to one year.

For a repeat offense by a dangerous recidivist, the punishment may extend to two to three years of correctional labor or up to three years of imprisonment.

A person fulfilling all outstanding alimony obligations is exempt from liability.

It's worth noting that previously, in Tashkent, individuals suspected of serious and extremely serious crimes, who had fled during investigations, were also arrested.
