The Uzbekistan Olympic team, vying for a spot in the Paris-2024 Olympics, will confront Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup quarter-finals on April 26.

Today, April 25, ahead of the match against Saudi Arabia, Temur Kapadze, coach of Uzbekistan's U-23 team, shared his thoughts.

"Our adversary is formidable. We've encountered them frequently and are familiar with their strengths, including their coach. Nonetheless, we remain committed to our strategy. Over the past two years, both teams have evolved, and we've gained valuable experience. Tomorrow, our intention is to secure victory according to our plan," Kapadze remarked.

Kapadze also weighed in on the impact of adding foreign players to the squad.

"We're pleased with their integration into the team. The legionnaires have bolstered our capabilities and have already showcased their adaptability, having played in our recent match. Tomorrow, we'll assess their readiness," Kapadze added.

The Uzbekistan-Saudi Arabia match kicks off on April 26 at 17:00 Tashkent time, with the victor earning a significant step toward qualification for the Paris Olympics.
