Uzbek man in difficult situation repatriated from Iran

A man who had found himself in a difficult situation in Iran has been returned to Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.

According to the information, the Uzbek citizen contacted the diplomatic mission due to document-related issues and severe financial hardship. Embassy staff promptly took the necessary measures to arrange his return.

In cooperation with Iranian authorities, an exit visa was issued. Negotiations were held with an Iranian airline, and a ticket for a direct Tehran–Tashkent flight was purchased on preferential terms, enabling the citizen to return to Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that six children who had been left without care in various regions of Russia were repatriated to Uzbekistan.
