Mongolia introduces a 30-day visa-free regime for Uzbekistan citizens

Hereinafter, the citizens of Uzbekistan can stay in Mongolia without a visa for 30 days.  This was announced today 3 June, at a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Siddikov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Batsumber Munkhjin, who arrived in the country on a working visit.

The sides acknowledged the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Mongolia, and they stated the activities of the two countries to strengthen the intensification of political ties, development of inter-parliamentary dialogue, expansion of the legal framework of cooperation, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The sides also discussed the prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Mongolia within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the participation of the Mongolian delegation in the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of States in Samarkand in September of this year.

Following the negotiations, the following documents were signed:

• Cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia for 2022-2023;

• Protocol of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Roads and Transport Development of Mongolia.

At the same time, the Mongolian side announced the introduction of a 30-day visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan.
