Now People's Artists will be equal to professors

The title "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" will be equivalent to the academic title “professor”. This is defined in the relevant decision of the president.

In accordance with the terms of payment and material incentives for the work of persons with the academic titles of professor and associate professor in accordance with the presidential decree, the list of honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in which equalized persons should hold, has been published.

According to this, the following honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are equal to the scientific title of the professor:

• "Honored figure of Art of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "People's Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "People's Poet of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

Honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan are equivalent to the academic title of the associate professor:

• "Honored artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "Honored youth coach in the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "Honored Journalist of the Republic of Uzbekistan";
• "Honored cultural worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
