The practice of compensating exporters' transportation costs has been suspended, as outlined in the Presidential Decree “On Amendments to Certain Documents of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Harmonization of Export Support Measures with the Agreements of the World Trade Organization, as well as on Recognizing Some of Them as Invalid,” adopted on December 27, 2024.

The decree introduces amendments to presidential documents, including the following measures:

- Improvement of export financing mechanisms;
- Cancellation of compensation for exporters' transportation costs for exports conducted by road, air, and rail transport.

Subsidies and compensations will continue to be provided in the established manner until February 1, 2025, for exports completed by December 31, 2024.

The decree took effect on January 1, 2025.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $59.4 billion in the period from January to November 2024.
