Judo. The third day of the World Championship ends without a single medal for Uzbekistan

The World Judo Championship continues in Tashkent.  Athletes from Uzbekistan finished today’s competition without a victory.

Murojon Yuldashev, in the +73 kg weight category, won in the first round Faye Nijie from the Gambia with a rating of “waza-ari.”  In the next round, Yuldashev defeated Artur Turdiboyev from Kyrgyzstan and won a place in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Murodjon failed to overcome the obstacle of Japanese Soichi Hashimoto, world champion and three-time winner Masters.

Shakhram Akhadov, another representative of Uzbekistan, who fought in this weight, also finished his participation in the quarterfinals.  In the first round of the Akhad, managed to overcome the resistance of the representative of the United States Dominique Rodríguez, in the last seconds defeated the Spaniard Salvador Casez Rosa in the second qualifying competition.  In the quarterfinals, he lost to Hidayat Heydarov from Azerbaijan.

In the women’s standings, the representatives of Uzbekistan were forced to terminate their participation in the World Cup ahead of schedule. Judo fighter Shukurjon Aminova, who performed in the weight category up to 52 kg, lost to Mimi Xux from South Korea in the “Gold Score”, and Nilufar Ermaganbetova could not beat Brazilian Rafaela Silva.
