Following the Serie A 31st-round clash between Roma and Juventus, where Eldor Shomurodov scored a crucial goal for the Roman club, the Uzbek forward shared his thoughts on the match.

Coming on as a substitute in the second half, Shomurodov wasted no time and netted an equalizer in the 49th minute, rescuing his team from defeat against the Turin side.

“Before entering the field, coach Ranieri asked me to support Dovbyk in the attack. We started the second half well, but unfortunately, we couldn’t secure a victory. We had chances to score a second goal. However, earning a point against Juventus is a good result,” Shomurodov stated.

Expressing his happiness over scoring, the forward admitted he aimed for more.

“Of course, I’m happy. But I would have been even happier if I had scored a brace. We need to prepare well for the next match and maintain this level of performance. Most importantly, we want to make our fans proud,” he added.

For context, the 29-year-old Uzbek forward has played 30 matches across all competitions for Roma this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
