Hypothesis from The State Statistics Committee: the price of sugar has decreased

The prices of onions, carrots, and rice have increased in the central farmers’ markets of Uzbekistan, while the price of sugar has decreased.  The State Statistics Committee announced this hypothesis.

It is noted that the committee determined the minimum and maximum price of consumer goods.  According to him, the price of 1 kilogram of sugar ranges from 11,000 to 15,000 soms.  Bone beef is sold for 48,000 to 78,000 soms.

As of 14 December 2022, note the prices of important products for consumption:

 • Bone-in beef (1 kg) – 48,000 – 78,000 soms;

 • Mutton (1 kg) – 55,000 – 91,000 soms;

 • Potatoes (1 kg) – 3000 – 6000 soms;

 • Onion (1 kg) – 2500 – 6000 soms;

 • Carrots (1 kg) – 2,000 – 5,500 soms;

 • Eggs (10 pieces) – 10,000 – 17,000 soms;

 • Rice (1 kg) – 6,000 – 27,000 soms;

 • Vegetable oil (1 liter) – 16,500 – 30,000 soms;

 • Sugar (1 kg) 11,000 – 15,000 soms.

For information, the above figures do not reflect the prices in supermarkets and stores.  However, the committee did not reveal which markets the prices were taken from, or where it is possible to buy products at this price.
