The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set the official exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek soum effective January 8.
According to the update, the official U.S. dollar rate increased by 64.69 soums to 12,033.28 soums.
The euro also rose by 40.88 soums to 14,060.89 soums.
The Russian ruble increased by 1.56 soums to 149.30 soums.
The Chinese yuan rose by 6.97 soums to 1,720.64 soums.
Meanwhile, the price of gold increased by 5,800 soums per gram to 1,777,300 soums.
According to TradingView data, as of 4:00 p.m. Tashkent time on January 7, the price of bitcoin fell by 14,062,817 soums to 1,105,483,743 soums.
