Dollar exchange rate rises sharply

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has set the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the soum, effective September 8.
According to the update, the official rate of the US dollar increased by 83.63 soums to reach 12,520.78 soums.
The euro also rose by 153.72 soums, standing at 14,634.29 soums.
Meanwhile, the Russian ruble gained 0.36 soums, amounting to 153.70 soums.
