SSS and MIA detain 439 people in 5 days during anti-terror operations

Between January 27 and 31, the State Security Service (SSS) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) conducted large-scale "anti-terror-cleaning" operations, resulting in the arrest of 439 individuals. Of these, 169 were arrested in connection with criminal cases, while 270 were detained for administrative offenses, according to the State Security Service.

A total of 946 special measures were implemented to stabilize the criminogenic situation and identify individuals and criminal groups contributing to it. As a result, 418 individuals, known for their propensity to commit serious and extremely serious crimes, were identified, and criminal cases were initiated against them. Additionally, 169 people were arrested as part of criminal investigations, and 42 criminal groups were dismantled. 

In terms of administrative actions, 399 individuals were held accountable, with 270 placed in administrative detention. Furthermore, 109 wanted persons were captured during the operation. 

Preventive measures included interviews with 536 individuals, with 402 receiving official warnings. During the operation, authorities seized 80 firearms and ammunition, 30.3 kg of narcotics, 4,521 doses of potent drugs, 186 knives, 22 axes, and 17 brass knuckles from illegal trafficking.

Earlier reports also highlighted the detention of a citizen for organizing a marijuana cultivation lab in the Tashkent region. Authorities discovered 200 marijuana plants and approximately 5 kg of dried marijuana, which were confiscated as material evidence.
