A man was arrested in Andijan for trying to smuggle $1 million into Kyrgyzstan. This was reported to QALAMPIR.UZ by the press service under the State Security Service.
It was noted that on 22 June of the current year the military servicemen of the State Security Service border troops serving on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border in the Pakhtaabad district, prevented the smuggling of large amounts of foreign currency out of the country.
A resident of Pakhtaabad district, A.D. was detained by State Security Service while trying to smuggle $1 million in two polythene bags to Kyrgyzstan.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against him under the relevant article of the Criminal Code and investigations are underway.
