Traffic will be temporarily restricted on 16 streets of Samarkand. Access to the city will be limited for 4 days. This was reported in the Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

In connection with the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Samarkand between 14-17 September, the streets of Ibn Sino, Buston, University Avenue, Namozgoh, Sadriddin Ayniy, Registan, Rudakiy, Shokhizinda, Usto Umar Jurakulov, Islam Karimov, Afrasiyab, Beruniy, Mirzo Ulugbek, Gulabad, Mukimiy, and Dakhbed in Samarkand most vehicles will be restricted. Ambulances and rescue units will be exceptionally allowed to operate on restricted streets.

In addition, from 14 to 17 September, entry into the city of Samarkand will be temporarily restricted. Citizens wishing to come to Samarkand on these days were asked to postpone their visit.
