On March 15th, Murodjon Abdurahimov assumed the role of mayor for Chirchiq city in the Tashkent region following a decision made by the Chirchiq City Council of People's Deputies, as per the regional government's press service.

Prior to this appointment, Murodjon Abdurahimov held a significant position within the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Born in 1986 in Chirchiq, Murodjon Abdurahimov pursued higher education, graduating from Tashkent State University of Economics in both 2008 and 2010.

His career began as an economics instructor at the "Baytqorgon Service and Economy" Vocational College in Qibray district. Subsequently, he held various roles including specialist, chief specialist, and department head within the Tashkent regional government, later transitioning to the “Uzkommunkhizmat” agency and the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan.

It's worth noting that the former mayor of Chirchiq, Davron Hidoyatov, will assume a new role, prompting his resignation from the mayoral position. Reports suggest he is set to become the deputy chairman of the board at "Uzavtosanoat" JSC.
