Youths certified in foreign languages will be eligible for additional financial incentives

Young people who have received a certificate of at least C1 or an equivalent level in foreign languages will receive an additional financial incentive of 1,020,000 soums. This is mentioned in the President's decision "On additional measures to improve the effectiveness of the system of teaching young people foreign languages" adopted yesterday, June 27.

According to the decision, young people who have obtained at least a C1 or equivalent level certificate in English, German, French, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese under the international examination systems will receive, in addition to compensation for the cost of taking the exam, three times the base calculation amount to cover the cost of study (a one-time financial incentive of 1,020,000 soums).

Also, from September 1, 2024, to January 1, 2027, the minimum number of points (certificate level) that must be collected by young people to cover the costs of taking exams in the international examination systems for German, French, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese languages will be reduced by one point.

In addition, it is allowed to give the classrooms of general secondary educational institutions to private educational centers with the right to use them free of charge on the basis of direct contracts for the implementation of vocational and foreign language teaching activities during free time from the educational process. In this case, the list of relevant general secondary education institutions is approved by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
