On September 20, a fire broke out in the Burchmulla state forestry in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. The incident was reported by the Agency for the Promotion of Forestry and Green Areas and Combating Desertification.

The fire started at around 13:00. More than 40 forestry employees, 10 local fire rescue volunteers, and officers from the district Internal Affairs Department were dispatched to the scene. The blaze was fully extinguished by 14:40.

About 1.5 hectares of dry grass were burned. The cause of the fire was identified as welding work on a metal drinking water pipe carried out by a resident of Yakkatut village, S.D., born in 1956, who failed to follow safety rules.

An administrative report was drawn up against the individual under Article 84, Part 3 (violation of fire safety requirements in forests) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

It is worth noting that a similar fire had previously occurred on a forest farm in the Bostanlyk district.
