Today, 17 February, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to the Bukhara region and visited Bahauddin Naqshband Mausoleum.  This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

It is noted that during the pilgrimage, both the Qur'an and prayers were recited for the deceased and the peace and well-being of Uzbekistan.

"We are going to all places, giving impetus to industries, solving problems, and trying to please the people. Today, we came to Bukhara to set new goals and make people two.  May God help us in all our good deeds," says Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was reported that in a conversation with scientists, the President emphasized the need to develop religious education and fight against ignorance with enlightenment.

"In recent years, openness and freedom have been given to religion as well as to all fields, and we have established several scientific centers. But how does this benefit our people? The interest should be such that this potential should be brought to society.  It is necessary to fight against ignorance with enlightenment, relying on the legacy of our great grandfathers such as Bukhari, Moturidi, and Marginani.  For this, it is necessary to connect religious education with practice, to make our scientific centers leaders in the world," says the head of state.
