Lacetti hits two students in Bukhara: one fatality was reported (video)

10248A video has circulated on social media showing a Lacetti driver striking two pedestrians who were crossing a regulated pedestrian crossing at high speed in the Bukhara region. The Regional Traffic Safety Department has confirmed the incident.
The accident occurred yesterday, October 2, at 05:54 in the Karakol district. The driver, identified as O. M., was traveling from the center of Karakol district toward the bus station when he collided with two students who were crossing from right to left near Specialized State General Education School No. 15.
Tragically, one of the pedestrians succumbed to their injuries at the Karakol district hospital. The second student is currently receiving medical treatment.
A criminal case has been initiated against driver O. M. under Article 266 of the Criminal Code (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation) and Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Grounds for detaining a person suspected of committing a crime).
This incident follows another tragic event in Tashkent, where a Cobalt car struck and killed a 41-year-old man. Additionally, a 4-year-old girl lost her life in a traffic accident involving a "Jiguli" and a "Spark" in the Samarkand region.
