The officers of the Internal Affairs Department who caused the death of a citizen under investigation in Boka were arrested

In June of this year, a citizen involved in the investigation by the Department of Internal Affairs died in the Boka district of the Tashkent region. After his death, two operatives involved in the incident were arrested, and the head of the district Internal Affairs Department, A. Bobokhanov, and other responsible persons were released from their positions. Sherzod Khudayberdiyev, the press service officer of the Tashkent regional court, informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this.

The fact is that on June 4 of this year, according to the information received by the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizen U.S., suspected of committing a number of theft crimes, was involved in the investigation on June 3 as part of the criminal case initiated by part 3 of Article 169 of the Criminal Code. This person, born in 1987 and living in the Upper Chirchik district, was interrogated in the investigative room of the Boka district Internal Affairs Department with the presence of a defender, fully recorded on video.

Suspect U.S. at 7:00 p.m. was detained in accordance with Article 227 of the Criminal Procedure Code and placed in the "Citizens' Temporary Detention Room" at the Internal Affairs Department of Boka District.

It was reported that at 11:30 p.m. on the same day, the suspect U.S.'s health worsened, and the emergency medical service was called.

Despite treatments, he died.

It was found that on June 3, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the suspect U.S. was taken to the service room by the operatives of the Boka District Criminal Investigation Department, not to the special interrogation room, in violation of the procedural order. An inquiry was conducted regarding his involvement in another crime. In the process, the citizen's health worsened, and later, he died (the Ministry did not publish the video showing this situation).

According to the diagnosis of the appointed primary forensic expert, U.S. had physical injuries on his body.

In connection with the situation, the Prosecutor's Office of Tashkent Region initiated a criminal case under Article 235, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, and two operatives involved in the incident - J.D. and G.Sh. - were arrested.

This case was considered in the Orta Chirchik district court.

According to the verdict, four employees were found guilty of the citizen's death. They are 37-year-old J.S., the head of the Boka district Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department; 38-year-old D.J., operatives of the department; and 31-year-old Sh.G., as well as 31-year-old S.T., preventive inspector of the Boka District Internal Affairs Department.

37-year-old J.S., head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department of Boka district, was found guilty of committing the crimes provided for in Article 207, Part 3, Clause "a", Article 234, Part 1, Article 235, Part 2, Clauses "a, v" of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.

38-year-old D.J. was found guilty of committing the crimes provided for in Article 234, Part 1, and Article 235, Part 3 of the Criminal Code.

He was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

31-year-old Sh.G. was found guilty of committing the crimes provided for in Article 234, Part 1, and Article 235, Part 3 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment.

Preventive inspector of Boka District Internal Affairs Department S.T. was found guilty of committing the crime provided for in clauses "a, v" of Article 235 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

All of them were deprived of the right to work in the system of internal affairs bodies for a period of 3 years.
