Starting today, April 1, the base rate for natural gas consumption during the heating season has been reduced from 500 cubic meters to 100 cubic meters. This was reported by the "Khududgazta'minot" Joint-Stock Company.

According to Resolution No. 204 of the Cabinet of Ministers of 2024, this adjustment was initially scheduled to take effect in March. However, due to lower-than-usual temperatures in March, the Head of State instructed that the 500-cubic-meter base rate, established for the heating season by the Cabinet of Ministers, be extended until April 1, 2025.

As of today, the gas consumption tariffs for the population are as follows:

- Up to 100 cubic meters – 650 soums
- From 101 to 2,500 cubic meters – 1,500 soums
- From 2,500 to 5,000 cubic meters – 1,950 soums
- From 5,000 to 10,000 cubic meters – 2,275 soums
- For consumption exceeding 10,000 cubic meters – 2,600 soums

New tariffs for electricity and gas were initially set to take effect on April 1. However, to ensure reliable access to fuel and energy resources for the population, economic sectors, and business entities, as well as to support households and businesses, the President instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to postpone the implementation of new tariffs to May 1 instead of April 1, as previously planned.

Starting May 1, the gas consumption tariffs for the population will be:

- Up to 100 cubic meters – 1,000 soums
- From 101 to 2,500 cubic meters – 1,800 soums
