1006Ivan Orlić has been appointed as Bosnia and Herzegovina's first ambassador to Uzbekistan, according to a statement from Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The minister noted that he had received the credentials of the newly appointed ambassador, marking the formal start of Orlić's diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
"We appreciate the sincere desire to further develop relations between our countries. Indeed, we see many opportunities for fruitful cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, especially in the economic sphere. We wish the ambassador great success in his work in the country," said Saidov.
It should be recalled that prior to this, the role of ambassador to Uzbekistan was held by the former ambassador of New Zealand to Russia.
