Yesterday, on 29 March , the "Rustam Kasimjanov International Chess Tournament" was held in Tashkent.  The two-day tournament consisted of 9 rounds.  According to the results of the competition, Grandmaster Javahir Sindorov from Uzbekistan won the "Masters" group.

Before the start of the tournament, many chess fans said that Sindorov and Nodirbek Abdusattarov, the world champions in the rapid field, have a high chance of winning.  In fact, on the first day of the competition, both chess players took the lead with the same number of points, but on the second day, Abdusattarov was a little unlucky.  Sindorov won important points and became the winner of the tournament.

In an interview with QALAMPIR.UZ, Jawahir Sindorov commented on his chess rivalry with Nodirbek Abdusattarov.

"Since childhood, there has been competitiveness  between myself and Nodirbek when it comes to chess.  From the age of 7, or 8 years old, I have been competing with Abdusattarov in the championships of Uzbekistan.  I think it is a positive thing that we can compete together in the tournaments held in Uzbekistan.  This will contribute to the increase of the potential of both sides in chess, but in foreign competitions, I consult with Nodirbek and we help each other.  Competition in Uzbekistan is normal. The victory will be either on his side, or my side.  One person does not always win in sports, I got used to this fact a long time ago," says Sindorov.

It should be recalled that Sindorov, who won the "Rustam Kasimjanov International Tournament", was awarded 12,000 US dollars by the organizers, and Abdusattorov, who took 5th place in the competition, was awarded 4,500 US dollars.
