Bobur Omonov becomes a two-time Paralympic champion

Bobur Omonov from Uzbekistan set a Paralympic Games record and won the championship at the 2024 Summer Paralympics held in France.

His closest competitor, Kappel from Germany, recorded a result of 13.74 meters, but no one surpassed Omonov's mark. With this achievement, the Uzbek athlete secured the Paralympic championship for the second time.

For reference, Bobur Omonov previously won at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. In 2022, he also claimed victory at the IV Para-Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.

With this latest success, the total number of medals earned by the Uzbek delegation at the Paralympics has reached 14: 6 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze.
